GDAB pastors and wives are invited to the first-ever GDAB Marriage Retreat!
Life is full, and ministry is demanding. It’s easy for your marriage to take a back seat. Don’t miss this opportunity to devote 24 hours away to focused time with your spouse. Not only will you reconnect with your mate, you’ll be refreshed and recharged by the teaching of God’s Word and fellowship with other ministry couples.
Hosts:
Johnathan and Jeni Newman planted Koinos Church in Troy in 1999. After 26 years as senior pastor, the Lord led Johnathan to step away from that role to allow more time to invest in and encourage other pastors. The Newmans began Thrive in Ministry in 2025, offering mentoring, coaching, and counseling to ministry families. Johnathan is certified with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC) and also serves as State Representative for District 80.
Cost:
$100/couple covers lodging, three meals, and snacks.

Schedule:
Check-in begins at 5:00 on Friday, August 28. Dinner will be served at 5:45. Planned retreat activities will end at 2:00 on Saturday, but feel free to stick around and enjoy the pool, fishing, or exploring the grounds. We will need to leave the property by 5 pm Saturday.
Space is limited to 10 couples, on a first-come, first-served basis. If we receive more than 10 registrations, additional couples may be placed on a waiting list.
