“Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.”
Hebrews 13:16
Sharing. It is what the family of God does. We are better together when we share with one another our lives as well as our things. The GDAB Family is bless with many years of lived leadership among our pastors. These experienced pastors team together to help other shepherds lead their church well. This coaching team is committed to helping fellow shepherds grow in biblical faithfulness. But we do not just share wisdom with each other, we want to be good stewards who leverage resources well. We share a lot of equipment that translates into significant savings for churches hosting events and ministry initiatives.
Pastoral Coaching.
Throughout the New Testament we see church leaders being guided by other experienced and trusted leaders. This is exactly what Paul did for Titus and Timothy. It’s what Peter did for the elders in Asia. It’s what our Lord Jesus did for the apostles. In each of these situations (and others throughout the New Testament), we see
the formation of personal relationships amongst church leaders in which they encouraged one another toward faithful shepherding. That’s what pastoral coaching is all about - pastors helping fellow pastors shepherd their churches toward biblical faithfulness. Whether your ministry season is dry or full of life, our coaches can help you think through and take the next right step.
Church Planting
Our city has never needed hope more than it does now. Now is the time for us to begin to rebuild the church in Dayton and to get in on what God is doing! Already, new churches and campuses are being planted by the Send Network, the church planting arm of the North American Mission Board, and by GDAB churches that desire to reach the current and next generation in Dayton, OH.
Our prayer is that God would give our association and our churches great vision for how we can plant more churches, and how we can partner better with each other to build God's kingdom all over Dayton.
Material Resources.
Because we believe in helping each other we share things we use like block party trailers with inflatables and snow-cone machines, outdoor movie equipment and a 40’x 100’ tent. These are some of the things you can formally reserve; we also often informally connect churches with other churches for other things like large vans, scissor lifts, or building space. Since God has been generous to each of us we believe in being generous with each other.
